Upgrading of the Republic of Croatia’s fire-brigade
The aim of the project is to increase the preparedness and capacity of the firefighting system in the Republic of Croatia. The project contributes to the further development of the national disaster management system and expects the procurement of 94 new fire engines as a key outcome of the project. Fire on board will be distributed to fire brigades in all counties. The vehicles purchased in a single technique and equipment are more advanced than the current ones. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective
Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €28.9M toward a total project cost of €34.0M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
