Development of rainwaters in water catchments and canals located in the city of Sopot, flowing into the Gulf of Gdańsk

The main objective of the project is to carry out actions to reduce vulnerability and climate change by preventing negative impacts and by increasing resilience to climate change. This will be achieved by increasing the amount of water retention in the City of Sopot, which will improve in case of natural hazards and major accidents. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.8M toward a total project cost of €6.8M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
