Broadband expansion, part 2 in Värmland
The project will implement strategic expansion of broadband in Värmland, where market conditions are lacking. The project involves 7 municipalities of the county’s 16 municipalities and gives 534 companies possible access to broadband with high capacity. In this project, which is the second of several, fiber expansion will take place to 48 stretches. All granted routes are specified in appendix attached to the decision. About the Information and communication technologies objective
Thematic Objective 2 finances information and communication technologies — broadband roll-out, e-government, e-health, digital skills and the digitisation of public services. It targets the digital divide between EU regions in the 2014–2020 period.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.0M toward a total project cost of €4.0M — a co-funding rate of 49%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
