Broadband expansion in Dalarna – ERUF4
Continuation of previous ERDF projects on broadband expansion in Dalarna. The project aims to co-finance fibre to identified areas where it is not expected to develop on a commercial basis within three years. This is to provide small and medium-sized companies in the areas conditions for modern high-speed communication mainly via fibre. The project also improves the conditions for radio-based communication in the areas (4/5G and the like). About the Information and communication technologies objective
Thematic Objective 2 finances information and communication technologies — broadband roll-out, e-government, e-health, digital skills and the digitisation of public services. It targets the digital divide between EU regions in the 2014–2020 period.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.7M toward a total project cost of €3.4M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
