Woman into Sweden
The project, Kvinna in i Sverige, aims to improve opportunities for foreign-born women to approach the labor market or studies. In Västmanland County in August 2018 there were a total of 5676 job seekers with overseas background, of which 2966 were men and 2710 were women. In 2018 the unemployment for foreign-born men decreased with 11 percent compared with August 2017. During the same period unemployment for foreign-born women decreased with only 1,5 percent. About the Social inclusion and fight against poverty objective
Thematic Objective 9 finances social inclusion and the fight against poverty: integration of marginalised communities, social housing, anti-discrimination measures, deinstitutionalisation of care.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.8M toward a total project cost of €3.5M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
