Puolanka bioterminal
In the project, a bioterminal will be built, which will promote bioeconomy business and investments in the region. The terminal will be built in an area zoned for the operation. The surface area of the area is approx. 4.5 ha. The district heating plant, the Ekokymp receiving station, the Puolanga wastewater treatment plant and the recently completed biogas plant are located on the same property. Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.7M toward a total project cost of €2.4M — a co-funding rate of 70%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
