The strengthening of the Malo dike is part of a policy of the CUD to manage its coastline. In this context, the CUD is in the process of defining and implementing a Community strategy for the modernisation of the seaside perres of the coastal communes of Bray-Dunes in Grand Fort Philippe by carrying out diagnostics, restoring and strengthening the perres against marine submersions, monitoring beach profiles and re-sanding campaigns. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.1M toward a total project cost of €4.0M — a co-funding rate of 51%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
