MAREGOT is a project aimed at the prevention and joint management of risks deriving from coastal erosion in the cooperation area. This strategic project intends to initiate a shared planning action which, thanks to improved knowledge of erosion phenomena and coastal dynamics, will identify optimal solutions to manage the morphological and hydrodynamic characteristics of the coast. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €4.2M toward a total project cost of €5.0M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
