The aim of the project is to adapt Ogre city to climate change by reducing high flood risk and to ensure high quality living environment, as well as competitiveness of economic activity and continued existence by carrying out flooding measures.The target group of the project is local government, inhabitants of the city and merchants, who are affected by flood and coastal erosion risk, as well as their consequences. Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €3.6M toward a total project cost of €4.2M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
