The aim of the project is to strengthen the intervention capacity and preparedness management of the Fire and Rescue Corps (HaZZ) to deal with emergencies affected by climate change. With this project, HaZZ will gain greater capacity to intervene quickly and efficiently and to deal with an emergency across the whole territory of the Slovak Republic. Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €14.8M toward a total project cost of €18.2M — a co-funding rate of 81%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
