Development of surface wastewater infrastructure in Telšiai
The aim of the project is to reduce the risk of flooding of Telšiai city by surface effluent and the negative impact on the environment and the economy. The task of initiating the project is to ensure the treatment of urban rainwater to the required parameters and to upgrade the existing infrastructure of Telšiai city surface wastewater. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective
Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.7M toward a total project cost of €3.1M — a co-funding rate of 85%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
