Co-creation and implementation of innovative, participative climate adaptation solutions in densely built areas
The objective is to improve the adaptation capacity of cities and densely built areas in the 2 Seas region by co-creating and implementing innovative climate change adaptation solutions with local stakeholders. This will result in an increased adaptation capacity of densely built areas in the 2 Seas region by at least 25,000 m3 as well as costs saving of 10 - 50% compared to the use of traditional adaptation investments. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective
Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €4.1M toward a total project cost of €6.8M — a co-funding rate of 60%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
