Bluefish will develop knowledge and understanding of the marine resources of the Irish Sea and Celtic Seas by addressing knowledge gaps regarding the effects on and potential vulnerability of selected commercial fish and shellfish from predicted climate change. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €5.6M toward a total project cost of €7.0M — a co-funding rate of 80%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
