Predicting risk and impact of harmful events on the aquaculture sector
The aquaculture sector on Europe’s Atlantic Area is negatively impacted by the effects of harmful blooms and microbial pathogens. The PRIMROSE project aims to strengthen risk management systems in order to grow, innovate and generate jobs in the aquaculture sector. This sector relies on sufficient early warning of harmful events, so that mitigation measures can be put in place. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective
Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.
Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.0M toward a total project cost of €2.7M — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
