Floods are climate change phenomena that affect most people in the Atlantic Area, through increasingly intense rains that overflow rivers and create runoffs in urban areas. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €1.9M toward a total project cost of €2.5M — a co-funding rate of 75%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
