CATCH addresses the special needs of midsize cities to deal with climate change adaptation and the resulting extreme weather events. In the North Sea Region 80% of the population live in urban areas of which a majority lives in midsize cities. About the Climate change adaptation, risk prevention objective

Thematic Objective 5 supports climate-change adaptation and risk prevention: flood defences, wildfire prevention, drought-management infrastructure, civil-protection systems, and ecosystem-based adaptation.

Co-funding: the EU contributes €2.8M toward a total project cost of €5.6M — a co-funding rate of 50%, with the remainder covered by national, regional or private sources.
